The Veterinary Emergency Response Team at the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis hosted it’s First Annual Spring Fundraiser yesterday, May 8th (which just happened to coincide with National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day)! The event included a wine & cheese tasting, live music, raffle, silent auction, and BBQ Tri-Tip dinner. My photography business, Susan & Sharon Ostermann Photography donated photographic prints to be used in the silent auction and they all sold successfully, earning money for VERT.
I was very happy with the turn-out as many non-students came out to show their support and break out their wallets for a good cause. Hopefully the fundraiser will be the first of many successful events for VERT and that the money raised will allow us to expand our capabilities and invest in some new equipment!
