Pre Vet? Get Experience at UC Davis with the Summer Enrichment Program

In case you have never heard about it, UC Davis offers a summer enrichment program for pre-veterinary students during the summer. If you are looking for some experience and a way to get to know UC Davis, I’d urge you to apply! Here’s some information:

The Summer Enrichment Program is a 5-week program (July 1-August 5) for prospective veterinary students who have overcome specific challenges* on the path to higher education. Students are exposed to a diverse range of veterinary medical experiences through workshops, lectures, clinical experiences, seminars and tours. The goal of the program is to give students practical skills, insight, and distinct understanding of veterinary medicine that will undoubtedly develop them into stronger applicants.
*educational or cultural disadvantages, financial need, language barriers, physical disability or other challenges

The program is designed to:

  • Gain exposure and experience with small and large animals
  • Daily clinical rotations in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital
  • Weekly case presentations from participants
  • GRE practice test and writing skills workshops
  • Admissions and application workshops
  • Mock interviews
  • Study skills/time management workshops
  • Speakers from various veterinary medical careers

All applicants receive a $500 stipend upon completion of the program.
